Routes on foot or by bicycle

Route 1: 5 kms. Morell-Bisbe Massanet

Start at Plaça del Comte d'Empúries. Follow carrer Martorell, carrer Bisbe Massanet, carrer Joan Mieres and carrer Sants Doctors. Walk along Pont de Morell, below Residéncia Reina Sofia, Walk down and pass by Es Cos and Puig d'En Morro on the left and an old stile and the cross of Morell on the right. After a bend Es Pla de Morell with the Síquia Reial (royal channel) opens up. Leave it behind and take the road of es Puig d'En Morro, on the left. Pass by Son Parera Nou and Son Parera Viejo,turn left and follow the Son Morei road, always to the left. Pass by the "Pedreres", walk down Coll de Morell to the well of Lluca ferrat. The road of S'Estret, the Cross and the road of els Fiters are located on the right. Leave them behind and admire the rocks of Badaluc, where the town was built. The old flour mills will welcome you to Muro.

Route 2: 9 km. Son Jeroni - Son Blai


Son BlaiStarting at Plaça del Comte d'Empúries, go to Plaça de la Constitució and Plaça dels Abeuraors. Follow carrer del Bisbe Albertí, carrer Joan Carles I, carrer Llibertat, carrer dels Màrtirs, Placeta Mn. Francesc Mulet, carrer Capelleta de La Sang, Plaça del brollador. Pass by the Bull ring, and the school, on the right, to reach the Santa Margalida road. The Creu dels Jueus (cross of the jews) is located on the right and the road of Son Jeroni on the left. Reach the old Fountain of els Guals. Follow the road to reach Casal de Son Jeroni.

Retrace your steps and follow the road leading to the Sineu road. Turn right and soon afterwards you will find the Fountain of Can Milec. Pass by Casas de Son Blai, Cases de Son Blai and the racecourse. Continue straight on. Take the road of es Carnatge on the left. Pass by the quarries and follow the road. Admire the plots of land separated by dry-stone walls. The road leads to the Llubí road. Turn right and follow the road to the cross of Ciutat. Enter the town along this road.

Route 3: 8 kms. Chapel of Sant Vicenç

Ermita Sant VicençStart at Plaça del Comte d'Empúries. Follow carrer Joan Massanet leading to the old barracks. Turn left. The municipal scales are situated on the left. Follow Avinguda de Santa Catalina Tomás, pass by the Comunes de Can Fiol, which have been converted into irrigated land, cross the stream of Muro and the train tracks. The Chapel of Sant Vicenç. is surrounded by cypresses. A few steps further on, a road starts on the left. Follow it and pass by the water mills, The road leads to the Llubí-Sa Pobla road. Turn left. You will see the houses of Son Figuerola. At the junction, turn left and leave the houses of Son Sastre and Biniaco behind. Cross the stream of Muro again and enter the town along Carretera de Ciutat.

Route 4: 11 kms. Vinromà

Possessió de VinromàStart at Plaça del Comte d'Empúries. Follow carrer Joan Massanet. The Cross of Marjal, is located on the left. Once at the cemetery follow the old road and take the road of Vinromà. on the right. Continue straight on. Admire the small farms separated by dry-stone walls and the water mills. Turn right along Camí de Ses Punyaleres and continue walking down the road. Follow the road of Son Carbonell leading to the old Pollenca-Artà road. Turn right, follow the road of Son Claret. You will reach the Marjal road. Turn right to return to Muro.
